Dear Friends,
Our new practice of singing, "Many Hands Make a Miracle" together at the end of Sunday Service each week has been a welcome reminder of the blessings, benefits and joys each one of us can experience in spiritual community.
When Anandaprem asked me if I would like to visit with you great souls who are practicing or interested in practicing Yogananda's powerful healing prayer techniques, "Many Hands Make a Miracle" seemed a fitting theme to follow.
Practicing healing prayers in our homes—after our meditations and at other times when we feel drawn—can be so powerful that nothing else seems needed.
If you are like me, however, whenever I have the opportunity to share in a focused group practice of Yogananda's healing techniques, to study or remind myself of the essentials of the practice, and to share inspiration with others, my solo practice often takes another leap forward.
At this satsang, we will study and discuss a very important aspect of the technique: ENERGY.
If you would like to come and/or want to read a little something to spur your thoughts and inspirations, you might enjoy reading this very succinct article by Swami Kriyananda (.pdf file). It highlights the "energy" aspect of Yogananda's healing prayer. This article will be a springboard for our discussion.
Hope to see you there! Blessings and Joy,
Lahari and Anandaprem

Relationships & the Chakras
Saturday, July 31, 10 am-1 pm, $30 Register
Each chakra represents an essential skill or attitude required for success and happiness in relationships. Looking at it this way gives you a way of understanding yourself, accessing, and changing even deep-seated patterns that may be blocking the love your heart desires. A powerful integration of inner and outer experience.

The chakras are the transfer point between your soul and your physical body. All our past experiences and your karma are stored in the charkas. Understand how this energy can be changed and harmonized in the body so that you may live your life in tune with your highest aspirations. Even if you have studied the charkas, you will find Shanti’s inspiration will renew your appreciation of this fascinating spiritual energy system.

The Art and Science of Ananda Healing: Principles and Practices
Wednesdays, September 8-29, 7:30, $60 Register
If we are made in the perfect image of God, why do we suffer from disharmony and disease? How do we return to our natural state of health? What tools and techniques are available to us? Explore these issues in this class.
- Define health and disease
- Understand and attune to the source of all healing
- Learn about Ananda healing, a specific scientific system of healing
- See how healing has evolved through the ages
- Relate the three levels of manifestation: idea, energy, and matter to the three bodies to heal: causal, astral, and physical.
- Co-operate with Divine Will in healing
Ananda Healing is based entirely on Yogananda’s comprehensive, but little known teaching of what he called “Divine Will Healing.”

How to Pray So God Will Listen
Saturday, September 11, 10 am-1 pm, $30 Register
What is the best way to pray? What if there is no response? How do you know God is listening? Certain attitudes bring us closer to God, while others hold God at a distance. Sometimes it’s our idea of God that keeps us separate. Learn to overcome doubt and mistrust, to pray with the power of a saint and the faith of a child.

How to Know & Trust Your Inner Guidance
Saturday, September 18, 10 am – 1 pm, $30 Register
Naturally, you want your life to be guided from the highest source. You do your best to be intuitive, but it is not always easy to tell where the inner voice is coming from. Fears, conflicting desires, and preconceived ideas of what one should do can obscure understanding. Learn to recognize the many disguises of the ego, to sense the vibration of true superconscious intuition, and to tell the difference between the desires of the little self and what God wants for you.
