livestreamKriya Yoga: Gateway to Self-Realization
Friday, March 31, 7 pm, free
Ananda Temple, Palo Alto • Directions

“After the mind has been cleared by Kriya Yoga of sensory obstacles, meditation furnishes a twofold proof of God. Ever-new joy is evidence of His existence, convincing to our very atoms. Also, in meditation one finds His constant guidance, His adequate response to every difficulty.”
—Sri Yukteswar, from Autobiography of a Yogi

Babaji declared that Kriya should be given to “all who humbly ask for help.” At Babaji’s request, Yogananda brought the Kriya meditation technique to the West as “an instrument through which human evolution can be quickened.” Yogananda wrote that Kriya is “the most effective device of salvation through self-effort ever to be evolved in man’s search for the Infinite.” Yogananda writes more about this technique in “The Science of Kriya Yoga” in the spiritual classic, Autobiography of a Yogi.

The Kriya technique is given only through initiation. Tonight’s program, however, is open to everyone, and is an inspirational evening for people on any path, exploring this inner pathway to soul freedom that is at the heart of all the mystic religious traditions.
