group meditations

Group meditations

Please join us whenever you wish, dropping in for meditations before work, or during your lunch break. We have meditations nearly every day of the week, at various times to suit your schedule. Ananda meditations start as Yogananda did, with a prayer and chanting and end with a few moments of healing prayers. The meditation itself is silent, and once the meditation begins, people are encouraged not to enter and leave. Both beginning and experienced meditators are welcome. Chairs are provided. There are often some pillows and meditation benches you may use. If you have your own favorite meditation seating, you are very welcome to bring it along. For more information, please call us at (650) 323-3363, or just drop by.

“Group meditation is like a castle which protects spiritual novices as well as veteran meditators against the besieging armies of delusion. Meditating together increases the Self-realization of each member of the group, by the law of invisible vibratory exchange of spiritual magnetism.”
—Paramhansa Yogananda
