Learn to Meditate
for inner peace, health, and as a profound spiritual practice

Meditation is one of the most natural and rewarding of all human activities. It gives direct, intuitive experience of higher realities, and is the cornerstone of true spirituality. It also brings balance, rest, and a growing inner peace. While its highest and original purpose is to help us awaken our inner, spiritual nature, the benefits to body and mind are well established by medical research.

Practiced on a daily basis, meditation produces profound results on all levels of your being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. It connects you with your own inner powers of vitality, clarity, and love.

Ananda’s How to Meditate class will help you:

Whether you are interested in managing stress or in exploring the spiritual side of meditation, you will feel welcome. Small classes and experienced instructors provide a quality learning environment, with time for individual questions and in-depth exploration. Each class incudes guided and silent practice time.

Eight-Hour Meditation
Saturday, December 20, 10 am-6 pm
This tradition was begun by Yogananda and has become the heart of Ananda’s Christmas season. It’s a day dedicated to communion with Christ Consciousness—a profound opportunity for an inner experience of the Divine. Though it may seem intimidating, you may be surprised at how easily the soul welcomes long periods of deep quiet. The group energy carries everyone deep into meditation. There are periods of chanting, music, and inspiration throughout the day. Come early enough to be in place by 10 am. You may bring your own meditation gear and sit on the floor, or use our chairs. Bring a blanket or sweater. If you are unable to participate for the full day, check here for the schedule of times when you may enter or leave.
