Meditation is one of the most natural and rewarding of all human activities. It gives direct, intuitive experience of higher realities, and is the cornerstone of true spirituality. It also brings balance, rest, and a growing inner peace. While its highest and original purpose is to help us awaken our inner, spiritual nature, the benefits to body and mind are well established by medical research.

Meditation produces profound results on all levels of your being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. It connects you with your own inner powers of vitality, clarity, and love.

Learn to relax your body, quiet your mind, awaken intuition and experience greater joy and creativity in daily life. This course includes in-class practice, tips on establishing your practice at home, online guided meditations, written instructions, unlimited (no-charge) re-take policy, and ongoing support in-person or online. Meditation is for everyone and requires no outward affiliation or belief system. This class is open to all, and there are no prerequisites. Our instructors are dedicated, longtime meditators.

Cómo Tomar Las Riendas Del Estrés con Yoga Terapia

El estrés siempre está en nuestras vidas, pero su exceso puede alejarnos de nuestro equilibrio interior. Cuando el estrés está exceso experimentamos insomnio, tension muscular, ansiedad, irritabilidad y nos sentimos sin vitalidad, entre otros síntomas.

El yoga terapia es una terapia milenaria que aplica de manera efectiva diversas técnicas para disminuir el estrés. Este taller, es una combinación de posturas de yoga, ejercicios de respiración, visualización e introspección, donde aprenderás técnicas y herramientas efectivas, para tomar las riendas del estrés y mejorar tu salud. Se requiere que los participantes usen ropa cómoda que facilite la relajación.

Drop-in meditations

Tuesday-Friday, noon–12:30 pm
A refreshing mid-day meditation during your lunch hour. The meditation is guided by an experienced, long-time meditator, with a prayer, a short chant, and 20-25 minutes of sitting in silence. We’ll end with guided healing prayers. Everyone is welcome. Late comers: enter quietly if the meditation has already begun.

Wednesdays, 7:30–9 pm
Deepen your meditations with the support of a group. Wednesday evening meditation includes energization, prayer, chanting, meditation, and ends with healing prayers. The meditation is one hour; you may leave earlier if necessary. Come even if you have not learned Yogananda's Energization Exercises, and a staff member will support you and answer your questions. All levels of experience are welcome.

Bhakti Walk & Meditation
Thursdays, 7-8 pm
Walking naturally opens the heart, calms the mind and activates energy in the spine. Practicing some select, time-honored yogic techniques while walking, creates a meditation that can uplift one into peaceful, invigorated joy. It increases ones intuition and creativity while also helping one deepen their sitting meditation practice.

7 pm Brief introduction for newcomers (no charge).
7:15 pm Walking meditation along local residential streets.
7:45 pm Sitting meditation in the community meditation room

Even if you registered ahead of time, please stop by the Teaching Center to sign in, so we can greet you and direct you to the right classroom. The Teaching Center is located just behind the large temple on El Camino. Enter the courtyard from College, and the building will be on your right. If it's your first time, you may appreciate having the Ananda grounds map handy.
