Kriya Yoga is an advanced meditation technique that accelerates one's spiritual growth. It is an instrument through which human evolution can be quickened.
This sacred science has been preserved by Himalayan Yogis for centuries, and was most recently made widely known by Paramhansa Yogananda through his Autobiography of a Yogi. As explained by Yogananda in the same book, the world in the last century has entered an age of energy, making it possible for man to develop subtler awareness and hence understand this sacred spiritual science.
Yogananda taught Kriya Yoga as part of a comprehensive spiritual path that includes other meditation techniques, along with discipleship to the lineage of Kriya Gurus. The actual Kriya technique is given through in-person initiation, and only after establishing a regular daily practice of meditation
In addition to a lecture, the evening will include some devotional chanting, guided experiences and a 15 min meditation at the end.
