Each year, we set aside a day to celebrate Rajarsi Janakananda, a close disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda, in a very practical way—by giving the temple and grounds some extra loving care.
It’s part workday, part community gathering. We come together to clean, refresh, and improve the spaces we all enjoy, and to spend a few hours doing something tangible and helpful as a group.
There will be a wide range of projects, so you can jump in wherever you wish. Some folks gravitate toward gardening and outdoor projects, others prefer organizing, cleaning, or light repairs. There will be plenty to choose from. No special skills required.
Come for all or part of the 3 hours—whatever fits your schedule. Every little bit makes a difference.
All ages are welcome.
“Nothing is more important than our quest for God. Even when you are working, feel that God is working through you, using your hands, guiding your feet, and directing your thoughts and feelings. If you live this way, you will find behind all your experiences the deep sweetness of God and Guru.
